Malcolm & Shelley de Ste Croix

We moved to the Alpujarras in November 1998, having bought a small farmhouse with about 3 acres of land including ancient olive trees. Our purpose was to change our direction in life having both worked very hard as therapists for many years and to create a holiday venue where people could relax and re-evaluate their own busy lives and appreciate this beautiful area.

 

 

In January and February we harvest the olives and take them to an organic mill to be cold pressed. The oil that is produced is lively and peppery and we sell this to the people who come and visit us on holiday. We have obtained an organic certificate for our land which takes 3 years here.

 

Malcolm is also a Neuro-Muscular Therapist and has a clinic 3 times a week offering treatments to both Spanish and the foreign community for long-term injury and mobility problems. Shelley has a translation and information agency in town helping people with buying houses, residency or indeed any situation where there is a language or cultural difference.”

We have an extended family of animals, including 2 dogs called Bruno and Jessie, and 2 cats, Cato and Golly.
